Get to know Flux Floral.
Oh, hello there, friend!
It’s me, Gerilynn! I know that hiring someone to plan and design such a special day is a big deal. You should probably see if you like me first! :)
So, here’s a little about me:
I’m married to my college sweetheart, mom to a sweet little girl and boy and dog mom to a miniature schnauzer who truly believes I’m his mom. I'm a part time vegan (yes, part time), love Thai food, Jesus, eyelashes and manicures. I love to read, though it’s almost always via audiobook these days. I believe in hard work but prioritize rest and self-care, too! I’m deeply passionate about service and have a heart for vulnerable children and their families. I love systems, structure and finding ways to be better. Enneagram 5 in the house - but I promise I'm not mean or weird ha! I’m a natural creator who also loves to obsess over aesthetics, including home decor and fashion. To be honest, if I could, I’d put faux fur in every room of my house.
These days I’m learning to love working out and do so at 5 a.m. because... I’m a morning person! My mom is too, which is why we talk every morning at 6 a.m.!
In sum, I’m nerdy but still pretty dope. And really, I’m just a regular chick with an affinity for flowers and being helpful. ❤️
Flux Floral is Born.
I remember so well what it was like planning my wedding years ago. In fact, I planned my wedding long distance and had only a few opportunities to meet with my venue and vendors. Can you say stressful?! I’ll be honest, I approached the flower part of my wedding pretty naively. I spent so much time researching venues, photographers and of course, the dress!. But flowers just seemed so easy - I’d just need a few bouquets and centerpieces and something for the ceremony backdrop, right? To be honest, I grossly underestimated what I should have thought through to prepare for my wedding flowers. In fact, there was so little information out there that talked about planning wedding flowers. I literally didn’t have a clue what to budget for flowers or where to begin. Many years and tons of hours flowering later, I created Flux Floral to be the floral design company I wish I’d had when I was planning my wedding.
